Cobequid Health Centre Foundation provides meaningful volunteer roles for anyone who desires active involvement in their Community Health Centre.

RECRUITMENT ASSISTANT (Volunteer Position)

Do you have a passion for volunteering, planning events and a desire to make a difference in the community? If so we want you to join our team as our Recruitment Assistant (Volunteer Position).

Our Recruitment assistant reaches out to the community to find volunteers and participants for our signature events – Walk Run for the Health of the Community & Show Your True Colours events.

Are you into marketing?

Our Recruitment Assistant demonstrates his or hers people skills but reaching out to people in the community to help increase participants and help manage volunteers for our events.

Are you a “Make Things Happen” kind of person?

Do you have a large network of people who want to get involved in helping their local hospital? Our Recruitment Assistant provides leadership support and assistance in recruitment for our special events and has strong community ties.

We are looking for a team player with excellent time management and people skills. We offer volunteer experience while helping your community and local hospital. This is a great way to build your resume and use your contacts.

MEETING MINUTE TAKER (Volunteer Position)

Are you looking to develop your business skills? We are looking for a detailed volunteer to help take minutes at our Board of Directors meetings.  (Volunteer Position).

The minute taker will attend the board meeting, there are 6 board meetings a year and we are in need of a volunteer to take minutes.

Are you looking to sharpen your skills?

The Board Minute taker is an opportunity to gain experience in the board meeting and taking minutes. This is a great role so a student of someone who is looking to gain experience and it will look great on your resume.

Do you want to make contacts?

Our Board of Directors has a number of business professionals who work within the Sackville, Bedford and surround areas. This is a great opportunity to grow your contacts and get involved in your community.

OFFICE ASSISTANT (Volunteer Position)

Do you have a passion for volunteering, office work and a desire to make a difference in the community? If so we want you to join our team as our Office Assistant (Volunteer Position).

Our Office Assistant will help with the daily duties in the office. This includes helping to plan our special events, making follow up calls to business to collect auction items and prizes, entry data, stuffing envelopes, photocopying, internet research, mailing tax receipts and much more.

Do you have computer skills?

Our Office Assistant might work a variety of computer programs including: Excel, Rasier’s Edge, InDesign and Photoshop. These are used to create mailings, promotional material and updating our database.

Are you friendly and like working with a team?

We are looking for a team player with excellent time management and people skills. We offer volunteer experience while helping your community and local hospital. This is a great way to build your resume and office skills for future employment.

COMMITTEE MEMBER – Walk Run (Volunteer Position)

Our committee members reach out to the community to find volunteers, participants, sponsorship and help plan for our signature event – Walk Run for the Health of the Community.

Our Committee demonstrates his or hers people skills but reaching out to people in the community to help increase participants, sponsorship and the detailed planning of the event.
