Interferential Current Ultrasound

Join us and help bring an Interferential Current Ultrasound Unit to Cobequid Health Centre. a vital tool that will improve patient outcomes and accelerate recovery.

An interferential current ultrasound unit in a physiotherapy department combines electrical stimulation and ultrasound therapy to manage pain, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue healing. It delivers deep-penetrating currents and sound waves to target muscles and joints effectively.

Together, we can make an impact on our community’s health and well-being. This unit costs $3,290.32. Every donation counts and brings us one step closer to achieving our goal.

Win Big, Care Bigger: #Healthcare5050NS!

Have you purchased your #healthcare5050ns tickets yet? The draw date is the first Tuesday of each month!

We are excited to be participating in a 50/50 initiative! Along with other foundations across the province, we’re working together to improve healthcare for everyone in Nova Scotia.
Funds raised will help purchase essential equipment and support community-focused programs in every participating foundation.  At Cobequid we are raising funds for a Obstetrics Gynecological Stretcher for Cobequid Emergency Department.

We are fundraising to bring a GI Genius™ Colonoscopy Artificial Intelligence System to Cobequid’s Endoscopy Suite.  This unit costs $90,000. This system will change the way we examine the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, aiding in the early detection of abnormalities, including cancerous and precancerous growths.

Colorectal cancer is a serious concern, but with early detection, it’s highly treatable. By investing in this innovative technology, we’re taking proactive steps to transform cancer screening at the Cobequid Centre and save lives.
